Biography
Kristin VanderMolen is an environmental anthropologist with the Western Regional Climate Center at the Desert Research Institute. She conducts interdisciplinary research related to the human dimensions of climate change, including agricultural adaptation, small and medium sized business recovery from and resilience to climate-related hazards, and heat-health impacts and inequities in rural and urban environments. She also works in the production and evaluation of stakeholder-driven climate information for land and natural resource management, and urban planning. Her work is focused in California, Nevada, and Latin America.
