Biography

Nicole Hill joined the Arizona Chapter of the Nature Conservancy in 2018. Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy, Nicole worked in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest with non-profit organizations and local governments to develop new conservation programs and policies for 20 years.
Nicole’s undergraduate degree is in Natural Resource Management from Ball State University, in Indiana. Her graduate work was in Urban Planning at Clemson University in South Carolina. Nicole has worked closely with elected officials, landowners, tribes, businesses, and nonprofits to advance locally and regionally significant conservation effort in several landscapes including Puget Sound and the Great Lakes.
Nicole also served as a city councilwoman in the City of Tumwater, WA (appointed 2012, elected 2013 & 2015) where she worked with her colleagues to set city-wide policy and provide oversight and guidance to the city’s services (including water, sewer and storm water utilities), fiscal management, land use policy, and economic development.
